'The Leftovers' isn't meatloaf anymore, it's filet mignon

"HAVE PATIENCE. All things are difficult before they become easy." -- Saadi, Persian poet THOSE are words to live by if you committed yourself to HBO's "The Leftovers." This show, about how the unexplained disappearance of millions of people, affects those left behind, began with a largely negative and/or confused reception. It has built into one of TV's most riveting hours of viewing -- although avoid it if you are easily depressed. Last Sunday's episode was the best yet, and now fans have to wait an agonizing two weeks for the season finale. I think everybody's flat-screen TVs will have to explode to come up to the intensity of the weekend episode!...
