( United Artists ) "Where's my Bentley?" James Bond (Sean Connery) asks Q before being introduced to this Aston Martin DB5, outfitted with bulletproof windows, revolving license plates, defense mechanisms (smoke screen, oil slick, twin machine guns) and a little red button inside the gear lever that fires the passenger ejector seat. "Ejector seat? You must be joking," Bond says incredulously. "I never joke about my work, 007," Q responds. The DB5 surely impressed the secret agent: The cinematic Bond has returned time and again to Aston Martins, but has never driven another Bentley. |
