London and wife Melissa both struggle with pain killer addictions and lost custody of their son, Lyrik, because of their drug problems, Radar Online is reporting.
Melissa's mother has reportedly been caring for the child. It was not clear when the couple may have lost custody.
According to the celebrity website, Melissa became addicted to pain killers after surgery for a fibroid tumor on her uterus. She also allegedly crashed her car a few weeks ago at a 7-Eleven with her son inside, the site reported, adding that witnesses said she appeared "a little out of it."
The report comes on the heels of a bizarre kidnapping claim by London.
A statement from Palm Springs police said London, who appeared on TV's "7th Heaven" and "Party of Five," said he was abducted while changing a flat tire on June 10.
The 37-year-old actor told police that several men stopped to help him and he offered them a ride home.
Police say the gunman forced London to drive to various locations throughout the city, purchase alcohol and use illicit drugs.
After approximately 12 hours in captivity, London said he was able to escape on June 11 around 2 a.m. and notify police.
Police later found London's car and arrested 26-year-old Brandon Adams of Palm Springs.
Adams has been charged with kidnapping, robbery, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and carjacking.
He has pleaded not guilty in the case.
Police are still searching for other suspects.
London began his professional acting career playing Nathan Bedford in TV's "I'll Fly Away," a role he won in 1991 after his twin brother, Jason London, turned it down.
He was also a regular in "7th Heaven" as Chandler Hampton, starting in 2002.
