1. Prep basketball star Aquille Carr still harbors pro dreams despite his complicated present

LAUREL — Good luck reducing Aquille Carr's story to a tweet or a television sound bite.

LAUREL — Good luck reducing Aquille Carr's story to a tweet or a television sound bite. Has the Baltimore prep basketball sensation grown into a man? Well, the calendar says so, as do his daughter, about to celebrate her first birthday, and his...

  5. 'Entourage' recap: 'Whiz Kid' or when Vince had to beat a drug test

A funny thing happened during the previous season of "Entourage" -- it actually got good. And not "good" in the typically dumb but satisfying "Entourage" way (pool parties with Bob Saget followed by renting a Maserati, for example), but rather the stakes were raised and consequences actually meant something. That can happen when an addiction to blow and a relationship with pornstar Sasha Grey enter the picture. (For a more extensive, smarter look at last season, read GQ's Sean Fennessey's piece from last August here.) It was the show's darkest season by a mile, and it set the table for an opportunity to finish the series on a compelling note.

  19. Aviator Nation's founder always looks on the bright side

Walking into the Aviator Nation store on Abbot Kinney in Venice is like stumbling into a frat house with a feminine touch. Steely Dan, Doors and Grateful Dead album covers and vintage skate decks nailed to the walls, a record player spinning Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion," a "720 Degrees" arcade game in the corner, stacks and stacks of foam trucker hats, T-shirts and hoodies spreading good vibes like "Pray for Surf" and "California Is For Lovers".... It's such a sensory experience, you half expect your shoes to be sticking to the floor from last night's kegger.
