Hammerstein Ballroom, at 311 West 34th street, is part of the Manhattan Center Studios, which was built in 1906 as the Manhattan Opera House by the opera impresario, Oscar Hammerstein--grandfather of the noted Broadway composer, Oscar Hammerstein II. Today the ballroom hosts concerts, parties, fashion shows, and more.
