County's estimated 2,500 food trucks, but with a twist: Their Yarnover Truck is believed to be the country's first mobile yarn store, a Little Debbie snack truck converted into a vehicle for peddling their yarn, notions and expertise all over Southern California.

  5. No sparkle in Broadway's 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'

NEW YORK — Early in "Breakfast at Tiffany's," the new Richard Greenberg adaptation of the 1958 Truman Capote novella, Emilia Clarke's Holly Golightly climbs into bed with Fred, our narrator, played here by Cory Michael Smith. She passes out fast. And Fred is probably gay. Nonetheless, the presence of this beautiful, available young woman in his bed is a signature moment for this young gentleman from Louisiana.

  7. The Crowd: Open the wallet and strike up the band

Can you think of a better way to offer music enrichment courses in financially challenged public schools than purchasing and providing musical instruments for students desiring to learn? A practice violin costs just $150. A cello runs $300, and an upright piano can be purchased for $500. That's just the beginning. Students want flutes and saxophones and yes, even a tuba.

  9. White hot red carpet trend

Hollywood has had a love affair with head-turning white gowns both on-screen and off for more than half a century. Who can forget Marilyn Monroe's white Travilla halter dress billowing around her waist as she stands atop a subway grate in the 1955 film "The Seven Year Itch"? Or Audrey Hepburn's sleeveless, belted white floral lace dress, designed by Edith Head, from the last scene of the 1953 film "Roman Holiday"? The actress liked it so much, she wore it a second time, when she picked up her lead actress award at the 1954 Oscars ceremony. The recent craze for white on the red carpet kicked off at last year's Academy Awards, when Gwyneth Paltrow wowed in a minimalist white gown and matching cape by Tom Ford. Here are a few more of our favorite white-hot looks from recent months.
