"Calculus isn't always easy, but when you feel like you're safe and it's a place where you're going to be supported, you can do anything," Laura Potter says. That teaching philosophy, she said, applies not only to AP Calculus, but also to her Ramp-Up To Algebra classes and other math courses. "That's a good starting point: Do you feel safe?
