Former Pallotti basketball standout makes difference after move to Division II Fairmont State

The changing landscape in college basketball includes a plethora of transfers every year, especially at the Division I level.

There are about 350 schools at the Division I level in men’s basketball and about 40 percent of student-athletes who enter that level right out of high school depart by the end of their sophomore season, according to the NCAA.

That makes the transfer of D’Ondre Stockman all the more unique.

Stockman graduated from St. Vincent Pallotti High in 2014 Laurel and began his college career at Marymount, a Division III program in Arlington, Va. Virginia.
