Pauline G. Piper, a longtime resident of the Wiltondale neighborhood near Towson, died of heart failure March 27 at the Sweet Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamstown, Mass. She was 106.
Family members said Mrs. Piper attributed her longevity to what she described as "prairie genes." Both of her parents were Kansas natives.
She was born Pauline Gibson in Brooklyn, N.Y., where her father, George A. Gibson, was a Methodist Church ministry student. Her mother, Margaret Cron Gibson, became a chiropractor and took in roomers after her husband died when her daughter was 4. From the age of 2, she resided in Kansas.
