Summary

With four campuses and two centers in the Orlando area, Valencia Community College is now the third largest of Florida's 28 community colleges, teaching more than 50,000 students a year. The school opened as Valencia Junior College in 1967. In 1971, it changed its name to Valencia Community College and moved to its first permanent location, the 180-acre West Campus located on South Kirkman Road. The job placement rate for Valencia Associate in Science graduates is 90% and their average annual salary is $36,372. Director Steven Spielberg has called Valencia¿s film program ¿one of the best film programs anywhere,¿ according to the school Web site.
