Salisbury University president to resign

Salisbury University president Janet Dudley-Eshbach announced Wednesday she would step down at the end of the academic year after 18 years with the Eastern Shore institution.

Dudley-Eshbach said in a statement she would spend a year assisting her successor in the transition, then return to teaching as a faculty member.

“I am greatly looking forward to returning to my first love – teaching, mentoring students, and scholarship,” she said. “I also hope to make more time for family, music, reading and other interests.”
