Former McDonogh lacrosse player Will Hauver died of flu complications, mother says

The mother of Towson native and Rollins College (Fla.) lacrosse captain Will Hauver said her son died of complications from the flu. Lyndall Hauver said her son, 22, began feeling ill Sunday and was found unresponsive a day later. She said her family has spent time at the Winter Park, Fla., school since his death, and has been touched by the campus' support. “The school has been supportive beyond belief, and the lacrosse team also, as well as his many other friends outside of the lacrosse program,” Lyndall Hauver said.
