William B. Harwood, public relations executive, dies

William B. Harwood, a retired public relations executive who had worked for the Associated Press, died Jan. 14 of heart failure at his North Bethesda home. He was 90.

The son of Richard Roberts Harwood, an insurance broker, and Willyhyde Harwood, a homemaker, William Bradford Harwood was born in Baltimore and raised on Roland Avenue.

A 1943 graduate of City College, Mr. Harwood served during World War II as a lieutenant bombardier with the Army Air Forces aboard Consolidated B-24 Liberator bombers.
