Bliss G. "Candy" Warner, a former Baltimore resident who worked in the financial industry for several decades, died Sunday of cancer at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia. She was 67.
The daughter of Dr. William Epperson Gilmore, former head of surgery at Union Memorial Hospital, and Marjorie Young Gilmore, Bliss Gilmore was born in Baltimore and raised on Warrenton Road in Guilford.
After graduating from Garrison Forest School in 1967, she earned a bachelor's degree in 1971 from Sweet Briar College in Sweet Briar, Va. In the late 1970s, she obtained a master's degree in business from what is now Loyola University Maryland.
