DeSales University is a religious school located in Center Valley, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, near Allentown in the Lehigh Valley. The former college turned university is a predominantly catholic school that boasts two several excellent programs including its nursing program and theater program. The university was formerly known as Allentown College of St. Francis Desales and has since upgraded to a university. The current mascot for Desales is the bulldog. The former mascot under the Allentown College era was the centaur.
