    Larry Bird will not return as president of the Indiana Pacers. Bird is "100 percent sure" he will not come back as president of the team, a direct source told <em>The Star</em> on Monday. Bird is expected to meet with team owner Herb Simon to discuss his departure from his position. Bird and Simon had an annual handshake agreement that allowed Bird to leave at the end of each season. Shortly after the Pacers were beaten by the eventual champions the Miami Heat, Bird expressed that possibly that he would return this upcoming season.
