  9. Mona N. Wilson, 91, of Dallastown, formerly of Stonycreek Township

    Mona N. Wilson, 91, of Dallastown, formerly of Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 7, 2012, at Manor Care-Dallastown. She was the wife of the late Harry S. Wilson who passed away Aug. 16, 1977. Born Feb.  23, 1921, in Stonycreek Township, Somerset County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Norman and Frances (Barmoy) Saylor. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Wilson will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012, 4 p.m. at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, Inc., 104 West Main Street, Dallastown with her Pastor, the Rev. Roger Mentzer officiating. A viewing will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Thursday.  Burial will be private in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Wilson is survived by three children: Cheryl A. Fritz of Conway, S.C., Dian Spagnola of Shippensburg, and Duane S. Wilson of Yoe; a sister: Charlotte Daugherty of Leesburg, Fla.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-children. In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by five sisters and three brothers. Mrs. Wilson was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Dallastown. She was also a former member of the Farm Women of Dallastown and the Somerset County Fireman’s Auxiliary. She had been a hairdresser in Shanksville, Pa., and the former owner of Mona’s Beauty Salon. Mrs. Wilson’s family has suggested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory be made to Shanksville United Methodist Church, 701 Main Street, Shanksville, PA  15560.
