Phish fans will be able to camp at Gosnold Hope Park in Hampton for $10 per night per person. Once the camping site is full, city officials will direct campers to the War Memorial Stadium.
Gosnold Hope Park is located at 901 E. Little Back River Road. The camp site accepts campers and RVs and will have showers and porta potties available. Campers may not make reservations.
Here are the guidelines for camping at Gosnold Park.
35 sites are available for renting on outside of the Horseshoe Loop
2 tents per site maximum
1 vehicle per site
6 people maximum per site
$10 per head, per night
No reservations first come, first serve
No refunds for early departure or weather conditions
Person renting site must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and present on the campsite when it is occupied.
Camper's must possess and display a valid camping pass when asked, or have the pass in a visible location on dashboard at all times.
Campers must keep noise to a minimum from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Campers may be asked to leave the park at any time.
Park is closed after dusk, except for immediate camping area.
Vehicle and pedestrian access to the park after closing will be by Rockwell Road and boat ramp access road only.
Vehicle parking in marked or designated areas only. Overflow parking for campsites will be marked.
Newport News City Park and Sandy Bottom Nature Park will be closed to campers for the weekend.
