Two people were injured after a commercial truck struck a vacant house on Hanover Pike in Upperco Thursday, Baltimore County police said. Police said the vehicle struck a home in the 15400 block of Hanover Pike, near Emory Road, around 10:20 a.m., trapping two people. One person was being flown to an area hospital by state police helicopter, police said. Crash Team is investigating, and as of 11 a.m., Hanover Pike remained shut down in both directions. Police said motorists should take alternate routes. Police said the truck went about 15 feet into the home. The Baltimore County Fire Department Urban Search and Rescue Team is responding to shore up the home.
