Roof Garden Festival of Bands at 7 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Somerset High School stadium. This adjudicated event involves area marching bands. Concession stand and gates open at 6 p.m.
The 73rd annual Berlin Brothersvalley Community Fair is Sept. 15-17 in the Berlin Brothersvalley High School gym. Public auction 7 p.m. Sept. 15. BBSD student musical 7 p.m. Sept. 16. The Milford United Methodist Church’s Women’s Fellowship vegetable soup sale Sept. 30. Soup available at a cost per quart. Pick up time for soup orders will be between 4 and 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Milford United Methodist church grove off the Water Level Road at 368 Bando Road, Somerset. Bring your own containers.
Dinners are from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church, corner of Broadway and Center streets, Meyersdale. All you can eat Italian dinner, Sept. 17. Spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccini alfredo, sausage and peppers, salad, bread and butter, desserts, coffee, tea and punch. Pork and sauerkraut, real mashed potatoes, hot dogs, candied carrots, applesauce, drinks, gingerbread and pies Oct. 15. Proceeds to new roof fund.

HH bike hike
Somerset County Habitat for Humanity biking and hiking fundraising event at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 17 on the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail. The activity begins at the Rockwood trailhead on the bike trail with participants choosing to bike east toward the Garrett trailhead (approximately 20 miles round trip). Walkers head west toward the Markleton trailhead. Walk to the turn-around sign (or go beyond if so inclined) (approximately four miles round trip).
