At 7:57 p.m. three black males entered the store and engaged in small talk about the phones and accessories. Employees told police that while the men were near the iPhones and the employees were doing other things, an alarm sounded. The men ran out of the store with several phones.
Somerset Borough Police Department and state police cars were in the area, and they quickly responded to the incident. Police pursued the vehicle west on the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The pursuit ended when the vehicle exited the turnpike at the New Stanton interchange and police lost sight of the vehicle.
Police said a license plate number was obtained. No arrests were announced nor charges filed on Tuesday.
