Mildred A. (Hunt) Simmons, 91, Somerset Pike, Boswell, died May 4, 2012, at the home of her daughter, LaRue. Born April 18, 1921, in Carnwath, Clearfield County, daughter of Joseph P. and Bertha May (Hutchings) Hunt. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 54 years, Merle C., on April 7, 2001; brothers: Joseph Ord Hunt, John Llewellyn Hunt and William H. Hunt; and sisters, Ellen Powell and June Schreier. Survived by children: Jolene J. Lease, Largo, Fla.; William M., married to former Mary Lynn Morganosky, Somerset; LaRue G., married to Roy Spangler, Duncansville; and the Rev. Brian N., married to former Susan Seese, Jennerstown; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Martha, married to Don Howard, Johnstown. Employed by former Penn Traffic Department Store, Somerset. Member of Roxbury Church of the Brethren. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where a deacon service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday and funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor William Wenger presiding.
