Manuel E. Burnsworth, 85, Confluence, died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011 in Henry Clay Township. He was born Sept. 7, 1926 in Stewart Township, a son of Clyde and Myrtle (Burnworth) Burnsworth. His parents, brother Clyde, and sisters Juanita Stonebreaker, Ruth Rugg and Jessie Nicholson preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Betty (Romesburg) Burnsworth, son John, New Salem; sisters: Faye Ravenscraft, Markleysburg and Donnie Calpaldi, Doylestown; brother-in-law, Tom Romesburg, Addison and sister-in-law, Mary Martin, Markleysburg. Manuel was a man of great faith, an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He was a stonemason and electrician for 38 years and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952-1954. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Humbert Funeral Home in Confluence, Delmer Stockwell and Michael DiChiara officiating. Interment in Confluence Baptist Cemetery.
