Harriet E. (Sires) Miller, 88, of Meyersdale, went peacefully to her eternal rest on Jan. 9, 2013, at Golden Living Center, Meyersdale. Born July 19, 1924, in Frostburg, Md., the daughter of the late Oscar Charles and Elizabeth (Witchell) Sires. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Forrest W. Miller; brothers: William and Raymond Sires; and son-in-law: Charles Harriman. Survived by her four children: Forrest Miller and wife Linda, Meyersdale; Virginia Harriman, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; Marvin Miller and wife Pamela, Fairmont, W.Va.; and Kenneth Miller and wife Jill, Somerset. Harriet was blessed with six grandchildren: Joanna Miller Bowder, Stacie Harriman, Nicole Miller, Diana Miller, Eric May and Beth Dodrill; and four great-grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed embroidering and playing games of all kinds. She was a loyal volunteer for many years at the Meyersdale Senior Center. Harriet was a faithful member for many years of the Hostetler Church of the Brethren and more recently of Cornerstone Assembly of God. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, with Rev. Thomas Twigg officiating. Interment Hostetler Church of the Brethren Cemetery.
