Country Clovers 4-H met July 19 at the Dean Hottle farm. Some were able to swim followed by a covered dish picnic.
The members voted to do a field trip to Lancaster County Sept. 29, going to Hershey World, followed by a train ride in Strasburg and then on to Kitchen Kettle Village.
Members were reminded to get their animals tested for the fair, and sign up sheets were passed along for help in the Dairy Bar and the Jr. Activites Building. Jade Pyle gave report on County Council activities. Alex Ansell told the members about the 4-H exchange trip that went to Colorado. 4-H cookie sale was discussed.
Hunter Sanner's mother will put together something to enter in the fair parade Sunday evening. Gifts for the livestock buyers at the market animal sale were distributed. Members were reminded to thank their buyers and send out thank you notes.
The next meeting will be Oct. 29 at the First Christian Church where they will have a covered dish meal along with election of officers and picking up cookies to sell.
