Clair M. "Jim" Gross, 89, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Greensburg Care Center. Born on April 14, 1923 in Somerset, the son of the late Albert and Mabel (Wooley) Gross. He was Protestant by faith. He was retired from Kaufmann's and he was avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by an Infant daughter, Candy Jo; his twin brother Clark; and sister Mary Robinette. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wilma I. (Stahl) Gross of Greensburg; two sons, James C. (Joan L.) Gross of Trauger, and Randy M. (Patrica S.) Gross of Apollo; brother Fred Gross, and sister Hazel Ansell, both of Somerset; five grandchildren: Matthew (Jodi), Michael (Jessica), Mark (Alison), Amber and Luke; six great-grandchildren: Aydan, Austyn, Patrick, Ryan, and twins, Marshall and Henry; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Sunday at the Barnhart Funeral Home, 505 E. Pittsburgh St., Greensburg. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Michael A. Alfieri officiating. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Somerset.
