The message at the Middlecreek Church of the Brethren this week will be “Confessions of a Beauty Queen” and will center on Esther 2:5-9 and 16-20. The Rev. John Stoner will be the speaker. The pastors are doing a special series of messages centering on Biblical heroes. The Rev. Linda Stoner will serve as worship leader this Sunday.
Aug. 6 is the date for the next “Kids N’ Christ – A Parent’s Night Out.” This program outreaches to the community and will take place every other Saturday evening throughout the summer. Interested parents can register their children (ages 4 to 10) by calling the Wednesday prior.
Worship begins at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. The church is at 226 Middlecreek Road, Rockwood.
The Lavansville/Bakersville Parish will be celebrating the sixth Sunday after Pentecost. Mt. Zion in Bakersville begins worship at 9 a.m. Mt. Calvary in Lavansville begins worship at 10:30 a.m. For those with questions, call the parish office at 814-443-3965.
