The commencement ceremony was held at the St. Francis University JFK auditorium.
Matthew Deskevich of Johnstown was valedictorian and Eileen Shoemaker of Ebensburg was salutatorian. A baccalaureate mass was held at Holy Name Church, May 28, followed by the senior awards banquet.
The class of 2013 participated in a growing drama club, the musical “The Wedding Singer” and various volunteer projects.
Joe Skura, Bishop Carroll’s public relations director, said that the class of 2013 has represented their school well.
“They have been true representatives of their families, communities, churches and Bishop Carroll,” Skura said. “They have excelled in the classrooms, in athletics and in the community. We are proud of them and wish them the best as they move onto the next stage in life.”
Many of the graduates will attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania, St. Francis University and Mount Aloysius College.
Clara Liu, an international student at Bishop Carroll, said her days at Bishop Carroll were the best in her life. “I will never forget the days when I stepped into Bishop Carroll,” Liu said.
