The 11th Society of Farm Women met May 24 at the home of Nancy Barkman who opened the meeting with devotions from Acts 2. The questions the people in Acts sought to understand at Pentecost are still relevant in our faith journey today.
President Sally Ware conducted a brief business meeting.
Each member was asked to bring an unusual item from their home and the others were to guess the owner. Darlene Miller was the winner. History Hit the Road with the WHATSIT box from the Somerset Historical Center. Society members played a guessing game of artifacts and trivia from the past. Alice Jean Musser was able to identify the most items correctly. Small prizes were awarded to the winners.
The next meeting June 15 will be hosted by Bonnie Peterson. Following a breakfast meeting she will lead yard sale shopping trip.
