The following are taken from police reports.
A 76-year-old resident of the 4200 block of North Walnut Avenue reported three shoe boxes of valuables hidden in his garage, which may have been left unlocked by housing contractors, were stolen between June 13 at 10 a.m. and June 16 at 7 a.m. The boxes contained his gold wedding band valued at $500; his wife's wedding band and engagement ring with diamonds and rubies, valued at $3,000; a coin collection containing one gold coin valued at $1,500 and approximately 100 other coins mostly silver dollars, valued at $15,000.
A black wallet containing $200 in cash, credit cards and a driver's license was reported stolen June 16 between 6 and 7 p.m. after the owner had attempted to hide it under his T-shirt and placed it on top of a chair on the south deck of Camelot Park Pool, 1005 E. Suffield Drive.
An unsecured girl's 24-inch black bicycle valued at $40 was reported stolen from a driveway along the 1500 block of North Kasper Avenue on June 15 between 6 p.m. and 6:26 p.m.
A black Apple iPhone 4S valued at $400 was reported stolen June 13 at 6:30 p.m. from a picnic table at Pioneer Park, 500 S. Fernandez Ave. while the owner was playing basketball nearby
A 70-year-old woman speaking to a church group at First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. Dunton Ave., left her purse with $300 in cash, credit cards, a checkbook and cell phone on a pew June 12 between 2 and 2:30 p.m. and it was missing when she returned to claim it.
The owner of a gray 1999 Chevy Malibu four-door parked in a lot along the 2100 block of South Goebbert Road reported the car stolen between June 16 at 10 p.m. on June 17 at 6 a.m.
The front passenger window of a silver 2009 Honda Sonata parked in a residential driveway along the 1500 block of South Yale Avenue was broken between June 13 at 9 p.m. and June 14 at 6 a.m., and the radio console with CD player, blue tooth roadster and speakerphone were taken as was the gear shift knob.
Two tubes of gray silicone sealant were thrown against an office building at 101 N. Arlington Heights Road between June 15 at 8 p.m. and June 16 at 8 a.m.
A gold 2006 Toyota Corolla four-door parked in an apartment parking lot at 200 block of West Miner Street was scratched along the length of the driver's side of the vehicle and the trunk between June 11 at 2 p.m. and June 12 at 9:40 a.m.
A homeowner in the 1200 block of North Barclay Court reported June 12 finding two .22 caliber shells in the parking lot.
A resident of the 600 block of Grove Street reported June 11 finding a mattress on top of her parked car. It was taken from a nearby dumpster.
Several solar lights were removed from alongside a home in the 2900 block of Sandalwood between June 10 and June 11.
A laptop and other items were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked along the 300 block of Mary Belle between June 10 and June 11.
A 20-year-old Round Lake Beach woman was arrested June 9 at 2:15 a.m. and charged with DUI, illegal lane use and disobeying a traffic control device along Beechwood Road.
Two 18-year-old Buffalo Grove men were arrested June 6 at 10:27 p.m. in the 1100 block of Windbrooke Drive and charged with possession of marijuana.
A 23-year-old Buffalo Grove man was arrested June 7 at 12:49 a.m. and charged with DUI, failing to reduce speed to avoid a crash and damage to village property along the 400 block of St. Mary's Parkway.
A 37-year-old Chicago man was arrested June 8 at 3:14 a.m. and charged with DUI and illegal lane usage along North Milwaukee Avenue.
