Oak Park

A 19-year-old Oak Park woman was charged Jan. 16 with using electronic communications to harass another Oak Park resident. The incident occurred Dec. 9 at Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Ave.

A 60-year-old Chicago man was arrested Jan. 16 on the 1100 block of Madison Street on a parole violation warrant for manufacture or delivery of heroin.

A 36-year-old man living on the 1000 block of South Ridgeland Avenue was charged Jan. 16 with domestic battery for hitting his girlfriend several times in the face in his home. The woman declined medical attention.

A man about 20 years old robbed a Chicago man by gunpoint on the 800 block of North Humprhey Avenue at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 15. Stolen were a wallet, $20 and a black Apple iPhone 4S, totaling $470. The robber, described as 6-feet-1-inch tall and wearing dark clothing, approached the Chicagoan from behind and asked to use his cell phone. When he was refused, the robber showed a handgun, told the victim to empty his pockets and entered a gray or brown large car with tinted windows that went north on Austin Boulevard.

A 54-year-old Berwyn man was charged with soliciting in a roadway on Austin Boulevard at the Eisenhower Expressway at 2:18 p.m. Jan. 15.

A pizza delivery man from Cicero was robbed by gunpoint of a cell phone worth $200 and $90 in cash. The robber was described as 15 years old, 6 feet tall and wearing a red hooded sweatshirt. The robbery took place on the 500 block of North Humphrey Avenue at 9:58 p.m. Jan. 13.

A 31-year-old Bensenville man was charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, failure to give aid or information and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. The violations occurred on the 1100 block of Lake Street at 12:12 a.m. Jan. 12.

A 25-year-old man living on the 800 block of South Austin Boulevard was charged with domestic battery of an Oak Park resident following an incident at 4:47 p.m. Jan. 11 at his home.

A 20-year-old man living on the 1200 block of Hayes was charged with domestic battery of an Oak Park resident. The incident occurred at 5:34 p.m. Jan. 12 in his home.

A resident of the 400 block of South Kenilworth Avenue was charged with battery for an incident that took place at 7:20 a.m. Jan. 12 at the home.

A 37-year-old Oak Park man was charged with driving under the influence after being stopped on the 700 block of Washington Boulevard at 3:48 a.m. Jan. 11.

A 24-year-old Maywood resident was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis on the 100 block of Augusta Boulevard at 3:24 p.m. Jan 9.

A man wearing a black stocking cap and dark clothes entered a home on the 100 block of South Harvey Avenue by kicking in the rear door at 1:15 p.m. Jan. 16. He was confronted in the dining room by a resident who had been in the basement, then fled out the front door and ran north on Harvey to North Boulevard. Damage to the door was $100.

Someone took $2 in coins out of the ashtray of an unlocked car parked on the 1100 block of Lyman Avenue between 12 and 10 a.m. Jan. 12.

Two Apple iPads, an Apple iPod, a 37-inch Vizio television set and two Apple Mac laptop computers, worth a total of $7,000, were stolen between 8:15 a.m. and 1 p.m. Jan. 10 from a home on the 1000 block of Hayes Avenue. The basement door had been left unlocked.

A Social Security card was stolen out of a home on the 800 block of South Taylor Avenue between 8:45 a.m. and 2 p.m. Jan. 10. Entry was made by forcing open the front door.

A white iPhone 5S worth $600 was stolen between 1:24 and 1:30 p.m. Jan. 14 from a T-Mobile store on the 1100 block of Lake Street. A man in his 30s cut a cable tethering the device to a display and was last seen in an alley east of the business and then going west in an alley north of Lake Street.

A catalytic converter worth $600 was stolen between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 14 from a Schaumburg resident's car parked in the alley on the 0-100 block of North Boulevard.
