The following items were taken from Des Plaines police reports:

More than $2,000 in power tools were stolen from a van parked in a lot on the 1000 block of South River Road on May 27.

A wallet containing $20 and credit cards was stolen in a burglary of an apartment on the 1300 block of East Ashland Avenue on May 28.

The rear window of a car parked on a driveway on the 1100 block of South Jeannette Street was shattered by unknown means sometime between May 28 and 29.

A golf bag and clubs worth $1,100 was stolen from next to the owner's car as he returned a golf cart at a golf course on the 300 block of North River Road on May 6.

A mountain bike valued at $200 was stolen from the 1500 block of East Minor Street on May 25.

A wallet was stolen from a dresser of a room in an assisted living facility on the 800 block of South River Road sometime between May 19 and 20.

A BMX bicycle valued at $500 was stolen from in front of the Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood Street, on May 24.

The front and rear tires of a car parked in a lot on the 1900 block of East Oakton Street were slashed. Property loss was estimated at $442.56

A Bensenville man was charged with battery on May 22 after shoving a bartender over a dispute about a receipt at a bar on the 1400 block of East Rand Road.

A wallet containing $100 and credit cards was stolen after someone cut a lock on a locker at a YMCA on the 300 block of East Northwest Highway.

Approximately $4,000 worth of jewelry and blank checkbooks were stolen in a burglary of a residence on the 700 block of East Waterford Drive on May 31.

Plastic totes valued at $3,500 were stolen in a burglary of a wooden shed on the 00-1000 block of West Golf Road sometime between May 21 and 22.

Jewelry and approximately $500 in cash was stolen in a burglary of a home on the 200 block of West Demptser Street on May 28.
