  3. IRS correct to target questionable groups

    Sorry, Baltimore Sun, but for once I cannot agree with your position on the Internal Revenue Service enforcing the law on outfits that have been breaking the law for years ("Taxing the tea party," May 14). Tea party groups, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, fronts representing Koch Industries and other right-wing fundraising operations have for years been posing as "social welfare organizations," which they clearly are not, and taking advantage of tax exemptions to which they are not entitled, robbing the rest of us honest taxpayers.
