RICHMOND — Former first lady Maureen McDonnell was a woman on the warpath some days at the governor's mansion, a close assistant testified Tuesday in Bob and Maureen McDonnell’s continuing trial on federal corruption charges. At one point, a consultant told mansion staffers to “think of her as a 5-year-old,” according to Kathy Scott, who spent 21 months at the mansion under then Gov. Bob McDonnell. It was more painful testimony targeting the governor's wife, courtesy of the governor's defense.
