15. Philistines Jr. Play Two Boots in Bridgeport on Nov. 29

Peter Katis is the producer that put Bridgeport on the indie rock recording map thanks to his work at Tarquin Studios in the Park City with bands like Interpol, the National and recently, Trey Anastasio. His brother Tarquin (get it? Tarquin Studios) and he have a band called Philistines Jr. in which they've been recording their own music since 1990. Lately, the Philistines have been using Adam Pierce, a.k.a. Mice Parade, as their drummer. They'll be playing Indie Thursdays at Two Boots this week, a free, high-quality indie rock show if ever there was one. Fins and Paxatonia are also on the bill.
