Here are the best coupons and deals from the Jan. 30 Sunday Chicago Tribune. There are a nice number of freebies at Walgreens, and it's not a bad week to buy diapers and wipes at Target.

COUPONS

The RedPlum insert has an ad on the front saying that DiGiorno pizza's recommended retail price has been lowered temporarily to $5. Pretty funny to bargain hunters - my target price for DiGiorno is $3.99 and then only when I have a $1 coupon. As far as coupons, RedPlum has $1 off Quaker Oatmeal Squares cereal, which might get you a good deal paired with a good Dominick's sale, $1 off Kettle potato chips.

There's a Proctor & Gamble insert with some buy one, get one free coupons -- buy one body wash, get moisturizer free and buy one Olay bar, get Secret Original, buy one Gillette, get one free, buy one free Old Spice deodorant, and buy one Oral-B Cross Action power battery toothbrush, get one free.

DRUG STORES

Walgreens sales:

Walgreens has its new beer, called Big Flats, for $2.99 a six-pack. My husband tried it and said it was pretty bad. They're also advertising their new wine, Southern Point, for $2.99. I thought it was going to be $12.99 -- guess I read wrong!

Xcel laundry detergent (41-50 loads) or fabric softner (64 loads) is $1.99.

There are 3 free-after-Register-Rewards items:

Natrol Melatonin 100-count @ $3, which becomes a moneymaker if you use the $2 off any Natrol product in the 10/10 RedPlum.

Blink Eye Drops @ $7.99, which becomes a moneymaker if you use the $1 off coupon from the 1/2 SmartSource.

Arnicare pain relief @ $5.99, which becomes a moneymaker with this $2 off printable coupon.

O-Cel-O or Scotch Brite scouring pads are $2.99, get $1 RR for a final price of $1.99. There's a $1 off 2 printable coupon here, but keep in mind that if you buy 2, you'll only get RRs for 1.

Other Walgreens RR deals:

Wisk laundry detergent is $6.99 and pays $1 RR, so your final price is $5.99. Use the $2 off coupon from the 1/2 RedPlum and you'll get it for $3.99.

CVS has the Unilever deal still -- spend $15, get $5 Extra Bucks. Since the products are Ragu, Skippy, Hellmann's, Lipton and Ben & Jerry's, the coupons from this week's Jewel-Osco ads can make it a pretty sweet deal. For instance, buy 10 jars of Ragu pasta sauce for $16.70, use ten $1 off 2 coupons from the Jewel ad (there are coupons in the Sunday ad in the paper, or pick up flyers at the store), and you pay $11.70 up front. After you get the $5 Extra Bucks, your cost is $6.70 for 10 bottles -- 67 cents a bottle. That deal also includes Coke 12-packs at $3.
