A 70-year-old woman was seriously injured in an early morning fire in her South Austin neighborhood home on the city's West Side, authorities said.
The blaze also displaced three family members, officials said.
The fire broke out in the residence in the 900 block of North Massasoit Avenue at about 2:18 a.m., according to Chicago Fire Department officials.
The injured woman was taken to West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park in serious condition for smoke inhalation, authorities said.
