A 64-year-old woman was hospitalized after being taken from a fire in the West Ridge neighborhood this afternoon, officials said.

The fire happened at about 2 p.m. on the 2600 block of West Rosemont Avenue, according to Chicago Fire Department officials.

The woman was taken to Swedish Covenant Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation, officials said. The woman's condition was not immediately available, officials said.

The cause of the fire in the two-story building was not immediately known, officials said. At least two rescues were made from the fire, officials said.
