A wrong-way driver caused a bad crash on the Chicago Skyway. The woman is in stable condition; she was charged with DUI and ticketed for several moving violations.
DUI charges have been filed against a woman who drove the wrong way on the Chicago Skyway overnight and collided with a semi, causing a fuel spill and a hazardous materials response from the Chicago Fire Department
, police said.
The woman, who was not identified by police, was driving north in the southbound lanes when she crashed into the truck near 76th Street about 1:30 a.m. today, according to Chicago Police Department

The truck leaked diesel fuel and the southbound lanes were closed while fire crews cleaned up the scene.
Both the woman and the truck driver were taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening.
