2 men fatally shot Saturday in separate attacks
Two men killed Saturday in separate shootings in Chicago were identified by authorities Sunday as police continued to search for the gunmen in both incidents.
Quentin Douglas, 22, of the 1400 block of South Throop Street was shot in the street outside his home about 11 a.m. Saturday, police said. He was taken to Stroger Hospital with two gunshot wounds in his back and was pronounced dead about noon, authorities said.
Robert Liggins Jr., 28, of the 6400 block of South Oakley Avenue was shot in the hallway at his home about 12:15 p.m. Saturday, police said. He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn and was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound in the back at about 3:20 p.m., authorities said. The incident may have been gang-related, police said Saturday.
Police are seeking one person in the Douglas shooting and two people in the Liggins shooting, Officer JoAnn Taylor said. No descriptions were available Sunday afternoon.
