A 21-year-old woman was shot in the foot Tuesday afternoon on the Far South Side, police said.

She was behind the wheel of a car and had just pulled up in front of a residence in the 0-100 block of East 102nd place when another vehicle pulled alongside and someone inside it opened fire, police said she told officers.

She was hit in the right foot and her boyfriend, who was in the car with her, was not hurt, police said.

Chicago Fire Department spokesman Joe Roccasalva said the woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to Roseland Community Hospital after the 2:50 p.m. attack.

No one is in custody, police said.
