Shootings on the South and West sides left three men injured Tuesday night, police said.

In the Chatham neighborhood just before midnight, a 57-year-old man was shot in the finger. He told police he heard gunfire that may have come from a vehicle, though he couldn't describe the vehicle, and realized he had been shot. He was taken to the University of Chicago Hospital in good condition. 

About 9:35 p.m., a 52-year-old man was shot in the 1700 block of West Lake Street, Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said.

The man's condition was stabilized after the shooting, which happened in the West Town neighborhood. He was taken to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County for a leg wound.

Earlier, about 7:15 p.m., someone shot a 21-year-old man in the the elbow in the 10200 block of South Eberhart Avenue, in the Rosemoor neighborhood.
