A 7-0 run and a second straight five-goal game by senior Erin Fitzgerald carried the No. 4 Northwestewrn women's lacrosse game to an 18-8 win over No. 12 Johns Hopkins Saturday in Baltimore.
Eleven players scored for the Wildcats (5-1) as they handed Johns Hopkins (4-1) its first loss of the season. Northwestern led just 4-3 before beginning its run while shutting out the Bluejays for 23 minutes.
Northwestern goes down the road to play Navy Monday in Annapolis.
