What do you love most about water polo?
I love just listening to my teammates. Not swimming so many yards is also very nice.
What was your biggest challenge this season? How did you overcome it?
This year we started with a new coach and over half our starting lineup gone. We overcame those obstacles by finally acting as a team. I think we knew that each player was [an] essential part of the team and by working together we could win games.
What was your favorite moment of this season? Why?
There were a couple games this past season where everything seemed to click. Everyone was in sync; we knew exactly when to shoot or where the best pass opportunities were.
Do you have any rituals or superstitions when you play?
As a team we hold hands and jump in the pool at the same time.
Who has inspired you most in your athletic endeavors?
My team and family always push me to be the best I can be.
If you didn’t play water polo, what would you be doing?
I’d probably be watching way too many talent competitions on TV.
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
Missy Franklin [Olympic swimmer] is my favorite athlete because of her positive attitude.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy outside water polo?
I also swim.
