A man was shot overnight at a nightclub in Goose Island.
A 24-year-old man was shot during an argument inside a Goose Island nightclub early Tuesday morning, police said.
An argument that involved several men broke out about 3:15 a.m. in a hallway near the exit to the Hearts nightclub, which is in the 1100 block of North North Branch Street, police said.
During the argument, someone pulled out a gun and fired a shot, striking a 24-year-old man in the upper chest, Chicago Police Department News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.
A friend drove the injured man to Rush University Medical Center, and soon after he was transferred to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County. He was listed in serious condition.
No suspects were in custody early this morning. Area North detectives are investigating.
