Chicago Tribune reporter Rosemary Regina Sobol recaps crime happened overnight, including two shootings and an accident of a man falling onto CTA tracks.
A 60-year-old man was taken to a hospital early this morning after accidentally plunging over a CTA platform and falling onto the tracks in a Loop subway, police said.
The man had been looking for the train when he accidentally fell over the platform about 3 a.m. at 115 S. Dearborn St. near the Monroe Station along the Blue Line, police said.
CTA personnel helped him off the tracks and he was taken by Chicago Fire Department ambulance to Northwestern Memorial Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
