A man from Chicago died while on a flight to O'Hare airport.
A 41-year-old Chicago man died after he apparently suffered cardiac arrest aboard a plane headed to O'Hare International Airport on Monday night, authorities said.
Paramedics were called to the airport at 10:50 p.m. to treat an unconscious patient, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
The patient had gone into cardiac arrest, a department spokesman said. Paramedics attempted to revive the man but could not.
Christopher Allen, of the 3500 block of West Jackson Boulevard, was taken to Resurrection Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 11:39 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
An autopsy is scheduled for today.
