The Goodman Theatre has announced the cast for the Chicago premiere of "Venus in Fur," David Ives' audition-set play, and it is a major break for the Chicago actress Amanda Drinkall, who recently appeared in "Great Expectations" at Strawdog Theatre Company. Drinkall will play Vanda, an actress with tricks up her sleeve, and Rufus Collins will portray Thomas. Ives' Tony Award-nominated play borrows segments of Leopold von Sacher-Masoch's famous novella while a seemingly innocuous audition unravels into a sexualized power struggle. Joanie Schultz directs the production (her Goodman debut) which begins March 30 at the Goodman Theatre, 170 N. Dearborn St.
