Blue Line track issue
(January 22, 2013)
Blue Line trains have resumed their normal schedules this morning after emergency repairs overnight caused delays for several hours.
A northbound train experienced problems with the track shortly after 11:30 p.m. Monday, CTA
spokesman Steve Mayberry said.
Bus and train shuttles were running until 1:30 a.m., when train service between Cumberland and Jefferson Park
stations was restored along a single track.
Trains continued to use a single track between the two stations as maintenance crews repaired the problem, and by 6 a.m. normal service had been restored.
