Two people were taken to area hospitals following a traffic crash this morning that sent at least six ambulances to the scene in the Gage Park neighborhood.
The Emergency Medical Services Plan 1, which sends six ambulances to a scene, was called for the traffic crash in the 5100 block of South California Avenue a little after 8 a.m., according to the Chicago Fire Department.
But only two people were taken to area hospitals, and five others declined to be treated, following the crash, according to the Fire Department. The conditions of the two taken to hospitals had been stabilized by the time they were transported via ambulance.
